Greg Thorpe | 20th July 2018Greg Thorpe is speaking at EnerCon 2018 being held in Manila, this week. Greg is speaking on the roles of Independent Market and System Operators in electricity markets. The Philippines market, the WESM, has a number of similarities to the NEM and been operating for close to 15 years. Governance arrangements are being amended to split rule making from the market operator which works with the system operator which part of the transmission business. Recently Greg also contributed to a project in Malaysia looking at similar questions for their quite different single buyer design as preparations are made for further reform.
