Angus Rich | 7th November 2023Jim Snow presented at the Bundaberg Bioeconomy Conference demonstrating how biomethane use is the most economical way to firm wind and solar power generation for customers in the NEM using biomethane fired power generation – significantly speeding up the transition to net zero, and repurposing existing gas assets so as not to have to over build electricity transmission, while also providing a very cost effective alternative to electrification for those very critical industries that are difficult and expensive to abate.
